I just love being able to watch what happens in Charlie's room... especially when it happens like this!
it's a busy season, but I'm a happy wife, homeschooling my boys, enjoying our two little girls, enjoying life in the country : one day at a time

Oh Pickles!
From a cartoon Bily watches in the morning while I'm nursing Charlie, he has picked up the phrase, "Oh Pickles." He says this when something doesn't go the way he wants, or isn't what he expects. The first few times is was hilarious, then it was funny, now it's just cute.

Abby has been saying, "Awe Fi--les-icks" [at least that's how I recall she says awe fiddlesticks]. When she is around they interchange which phrase they use :)
Funny toddlers!

IKEA
What is a trip to IKEA with just two toddlers? SOOOOOooooo much different than with two toddlers and a 5 year old.
Can't quite describe the quite, relaxed, peaceful time we had without any fighting or complaining.... oh wait, I think I just did!
Here are some lunch-time photos. [I have to wonder what the next trip will be like, with an infant in the mix... at some point.]

Kind of different from this other trip we took August 1, 2006 !

Black Hills Park
So the other night when the weather was just beautiful, I decided to take Billy out and use all the bread crumbs we had to feed the ducks and get in a little more playtime. We headed over to Black Hills Park and finally found 3 geese, who were happy to see us.
Billy was fascinated by the boats, especially the family that was out in the water in their canoe... he couldn't get enough watching them. He kept saying, "I boat too." We'll have to rent one at some point and see how that goes (not a canoe like these people had, cause Billy would tip that over for sure; maybe a row boat or a paddle boat).

Then we went over to the playground and met up with his favorite cousins... to play and run and get tired out for bedtime... Um, I mean, have fun playing together.

Isn't this so much more interesting looking than the boring rungs we used to play on/climb up? Actually makes you think about where to put your feet...
