it's a busy season, but I'm a happy wife, homeschooling my boys, enjoying our two little girls, enjoying life in the country : one day at a time

exploring
Lillian found the clothes pins today... and busily played with them for a few minutes :) while we did some school work! Love that she was wearing a hoodie today! Made perfect pictures! Also took a video of her tossing them over he shoulder, but of course I can post it... blogger won't!

10 months
| She didn't want to have her picture taken on her "10 month birthday", Thanksgiving Day. |
She pats me on the back while I hold and comfort her, preparing her for bed, or getting her up out of her crib. She loves shredded cheese. and carbohydrates. and yogurt. and bananas.
She is such a happy baby. Goes with the flow. Enjoys watching everything that is going on around her.
Runs her tongue over her teeth often [alleviating pressure, enjoying the new sensation or...?]
Objects to being alone or put down, but often gets over it :)

nine months
I can crawl, pull up on my knees, and I have lots of smiles to share. I am not afraid of strangers, but willing go to outstretched arms. I love going for walks in the stroller and being with my brothers. They are my favorite. Or maybe Daddy. And sometimes Mommy.
I love puffs and my bottle and I really don't like being tricked into drinking from a sippy cup. I know the difference.

we did a photo shoot on the living room floor the other day, cause the boys were... I don't remember where they were. Any way, here is our happy little girl, bringing pink and cuteness to our world :)
[BTW, she is 50th percentile for weight and height. Docs want her to start eating pureed food regularly, but she has had some aversion since when she was throwing it all up; so we are trying here and there, and she's liking bananas again.]

Lillian
@ 7 months she can almost sit propped up (almost because she likes to move and rolls around to get where she wants to go most of the time), can army crawl and enjoys growling. Most growls are accompanied by a smile.

Lillian
4 month check up
13 pounds 10.5 oz [50th percentile]
24 1/4 inches [50th percentile]
16" head circ.
She was about the 25th percentile at the 2 month visit, so they are happy with her progress. Good old weight-gainer, as De calls formula...

Lillian loves to watch what is going on. She smiles when she sees her family and smiles when others smile at her. She still loves to gnaw on her hands and is getting better and more consistent with napping during the day (usually three 1 hour + naps) and sleeping at night (in five hour stretches)!
three months old
Lillian loves to suck on her hands, smile at her brothers antics, be held, and is starting to sleep on her own in her room.
digging
Our boys love dirt. Wait, our boys LOVE DIRT!
The boys were thrilled to be allowed to help these men dig in our neighbors' yard... their electricity was out in half of their house... weird.
They shared their snacks, kept the men smiling with their conversations, got to be in the hole, put the dirt back in the hole, and were each paid a quarter. Thrilling day!
Lillian and Mommy stayed inside most of the time, watching from the window.

for child care
Since I nurse and bottle feed, we needed a solution for child care providers to know exactly what Lillian needs. I made up this little form, laminated it, and hope that it will help with the confusion of what Lillian needs when (especially in the church nursery).
