a new house

So we have been house hunting for a month or so, stalking homes on the market a bit longer, and toured many homes in September.  We found some we liked, some that were too small, some that were too old and had too many repairs needed, some seemed just right except for the high price, some that were too far away, some that were just __ not perfect...  so we kept looking.

would love to look out my window to this view every day! (this is zoomed in, in the above photo)
We were directed to K.Hovnanian Homes by one of De's coworkers and decided to go ahead and schedule a tour to see the models.  We ended up putting an offer in within a few days after seeing the lot and deciding we could do this.

Shown here, lot 8.  From where we are standing on the road, to the first tree line, and a decent width as well.

6.78 acres is a good amount of land for growing, wild boys who need room to play and explore.  We're thinking a large garden, chickens, a lawn tractor, maybe a dog or a donkey...

Our offer was accepted today!  Thus begins our home building journey in Virginia :)
