For about a week or two, every other night or so, we receive a computerized phone call at 7pm from the Montgomery County Public Schools informing us that our child Ian has missed all or part of the day at Gaithersburg High School and that we need send a note explaining why he's been absent, or that we can call the attendance office and talk to them.
So, I finally called today, and they thought it was kind of funny, since I said that I don't have a high schooler but an 11 month old :)
Hopefully, Ian will get his act together and the school system will find his parents, who used to have our phone number.
